The ultrasound said our gestational sac measured in at 5 weeks and 5 days, not six weeks, so it was too early to see that little flicker and hear the heart beating. However, we did see a yolk sac, which we were informed is a good sign!
Dr. Kennebeck popped her head in after the ultrasound saying she'd see us next week to look for a heartbeat. She had a big smile on her face and looked hopeful. Just what a mommy and daddy want to see!
Praying our little baby boy or girl is in there growing and growing. If my fatigue and nausea are any sign, our little "Crackerjack" (named so since our due date is close to opening day) must be growing at an alarming rate. :)
Praying with all our hearts that April 14th is a date we will be welcoming a little miracle into this world.
