Two months have come and gone so quickly. While we are a little sleep deprived, we're starting to get the hang of it, but are definitely enjoying parenthood in a way we didn't even know possible. This is the most beautiful thing I've ever been a part of, and while it is definitely the most difficult, it's also the most wonderful. I just can't get over the fact that he's here and ours and in our arms. Since we haven't posted in the two months he's been here with us (we've been a little busy!), I'll just post some pictures from start to present to tell our story so far.
Thank you, LORD for our sweet baby boy.
Here I am about to be induced on April 10th at 6:30 a.m. By the looks of things he's definitely cooked long enough! :)
The single most overwhelming moment in my life. I just kept looking him over top to bottom and saying, "Thank you, God. Thank you, God!"
I knew when they laid him on me he felt heavy....9 lb.s 1.2 oz! 21.5 inches long!
After an hour of pushing and twelve hours of labor all together, we've got our Cohen John!
I love everything about him.
When he got his first bath from the nurse, he was NOT happy...until this moment. When they washed and combed his hair he was putty in their hands!
Grandma Marshall came to visit and see her first grandson!
Grammy came, too to see her second grandson!
Auntie Em was there to snuggle baby Co Co
Great Aunt Jean and Great Aunt Sarah couldn't wait to stop by, too!
Cousin Kelly with baby Co Co Puff :)
Grandma and Grandpa Marshall with Cohen John Marshall. The Marshall name continues on with our baby boy...and so does the name "John" :)
Sweet Kimber with Cohen
Cohen and Liam, Matt and Kim's son, meet for the first time. We are sure they'll be life long friends just like their mommies and daddies
Matty with Cohey
My friend from school, Mike came to visit
Miranda and her boys stopped by, too
Dan and Megan came to see our new little gift
Auntie Stephanie came to love on Coco right away!
Our favorite nurse, Angela.
Katie and Chad came to love on him, too
Daddy just can't get enough of his boy. We'd only been home a couple days at this point.
Great Grandma Helena came by to see her Great Grandson!
Kendra And Hallee come to meet baby Cohen
I just kiss and kiss him all day!
My first bath at home!
Uncle Tim came by to visit and meet Cohen, too!
Auntie Em snuggling Coco
More daddy kisses
A gift from Grandpa Marshall
I found my hair today. I have hit a lot of other milestones, too...like rolling over from my tummy to back the day before I turned four weeks old!
I love watching my "fish" swim
Pappaw Tim came to visit. The sun was in Cohen's eyes...he already knows how to keep it out!
His Easter outfit was a little bit big, but it was so stinkin cute!
Cohen with his cousins Cassidy and Audrey
About to go to Easter Sunday service at Covenant Creek. Love his little aviator hat!
Grammy got him this bunny. We love that it is bigger than him!
Easter at Grammy's
Our first family picture
Reading books together
Cohen meets his great aunt Debbie
I love how he's looking at Mom in this one. This is on Mother's day
Our friend, Kendra came by to take some pictures. These are some of my favorite:
Remembering our Peanut with the butterfly...a symbol of our sweet baby in Heaven.
The whole Marshall family at Cohen's first Easter
Cohen going out for his first walk
He really loves being outside. He just looks around the whole time!
This is a great picture of 4 a.m. in our house these days. Cohen had explosively pooped all over our bed and I was running around cleaning the bed, Cohen, and myself while Steve helped. :)
He's just getting so big!
Put 'em up!
Grandpa Marshall loves holding his grandson
...and so does Grandma Marshall!
Daddy swaddling Cohen....his favorite way to sleep.
....that is unless he's really already out cold :) Check out his hair...so adorable! I absolutely love that we can't hardly get it to lay down! He has the same hairline as his daddy, too!
We went to Auntie Em's for a fun afternoon in the sun!
Ayden did such a great job holding baby Coco
:) I love it! Finally our boys together!
For about a week he only wanted to take naps in his carseat :)
Grammy came by for some Cohey snuggles. He seriously loves his Grammy!
At six weeks, we went to see Daddy play baseball for the very first time!
At seven weeks, we got a new activity gym...he only kind-of likes it right now. I think when he gets bigger it will be more fun for him :)
Always supporting our Redlegs! Seven weeks old!
He has changed in so many ways so fast. His eyes are starting to look like they're turning from dark blue to light blue. They look a lot like my dad's eyes. Other than that he is his daddy remade. His hair is blonde like Daddy's was when he was a baby, but we're betting it turns to a dark brown like Daddy's, too! He is giggling and smiling all the time. He loves to snuggle and I can't even tell you how special it is when all it takes is his mommy to make it all better. I can't believe we have this sweet little boy. I love him so very much and can't wait to see what's next!
