So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and together with you
be refreshed.
~Romans 15:32
I cannot explain the joy that I felt first thing when I woke up this morning. I was immediately in prayer and praise!! The Lord has brought our little baby to the end of his or her first trimester and has brought me through it, too I can promise you that! I can't believe today is the beginning of our third month together. I am so anxious to hear the heartbeat again and am craving the days that I can start to feel kicks! Thank you, LORD!!
Last night Steve and I went with our friend Kendra and her little girl Hallee to the Springboro Homecoming game. We got to see past students, get tons of BIG hugs, and lots of screams from the girls when I announced we are pregnant by pointing to my little baby bump!
This week we are going to start taking more pics weekly of my growing belly, so you'll see more posts with pics of me and my expanding tummy!
We did sneak in one photo at 11 weeks (below) because I've been reading that over the next few weeks that he or she is going to have quite the growth spurt and I wanted to start getting shots of that!
Clearly still learning how to take the "I'm pregnant" picture! Steve took this right before we went to the apple festival with Matt, Kim, Dan, and Jackie last weekend. We had just watched Ohio State win another football game! We had also just had lunch so the bump looks a bit bigger than it does when I wake up! :)
We are also loving being a part of helping our best friends, Matt and Kim, prepare for little Liam. We stopped by IKEA after the festival and got little Liam his very first shelf for toys and books to go under the window in his adorable nursery! This is a picture of how we had to fit it into our Jeep. If you look behind Kimber's head (on left) you can see Matt! This not-so-little task has us all giggling quite a bit! You can't see Steve or me (we're up front) but the box went from the third row seating all the way up to us in the front! We hope you like it, Liam!!
Here's how our little one is growing....
Week Twelve: Fingernails and toenails appear | |
You are 12 weeks pregnant. (fetal age 10 weeks)
![]() Your baby now has a chin and a nose and a facial profile. Vocal chords are complete, and the baby can and does sometimes cry silently. The brain is fully formed, and the baby can also feel pain. The fetus may even suck his thumb. The eyelids now cover the eyes, and will remain shut until the seventh month to protect the delicate optical nerve fibers. The hair is on the head and the fingers and toes have developed soft nails. The kidneys are developed and begin to secrete urine. Your baby weighs between 0.5 and 0.7 ounce (14 to 20g), and crown-to-rump length is almost 2.5 inches (63mm). Your baby's size has almost doubled in the past 3 weeks. "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." ~Matthew 19:26 |
I love the pic! I only have one of Matt and Dan so I may have to steal this one. The shelf looks great, thanks to everyone for all of their patience with me and making them cram into the jeep with the huge box :) Your bump is too cute! I hope you are feeling better soon!
