Today is a very big day for us. Today we hit our 6 month mark... Cohen's viability day! At our last appointment, Dr. Kennebeck shared with us that Cohen's viability day would be the mark of our 24th week. We are so very blessed that we have made it this far with Cohen kicking and rolling around like the very active baby he is. We ask for prayers that he continues to grow big and strong.
This was an exciting couple of days for us. We asked this year that any gifts for us be foregone and in place, get gifts for Cohen. We are so happy we asked for this! We have so much for Cohen and it was MUCH more exciting than getting gifts for ourselves. I think we enjoyed this Christmas more than ever because we were celebrating this beautiful life we have been blessed with. Here are some pics from some of the gifts we were given for Cohen!
Sunglasses from Em, Tim, and kids!
Organizing baskets and lots of goodies from Mom like a rattle, food storage items, bibs, etc.
We got our high chair from Mom!
Curious George gift pack and two pairs of adorable shoes from Em, Tim, and kids!
Lots of receiving blankets from Dad and Beth....I hear these are handy!
GO BUCKS! An Ohio State pack of onesies given to us by our sweet friends, Shawn and Amber. The best part? Amber chose them...and she's a Michigan fan! Gotta love it!
Cute little outfit from Dad and Beth.
A few little outfits from Em, Tim, and kids...love them! Ayden was specifically excited about the Mickey Mouse shirt!
Steve's aunt Jean got us this adorable onesie!
Our friend, Kendra, picked this sweet little shirt up along with two car seat toys that are butterflies. We love these!
This was definitely just the tip of the iceberg! We also got bathing stuff like wash cloths, baby-safe Q-Tips, soaps, lotions, and a little Elmo bath time book. We got baby-proofing outlet covers, bottle racks, a couple other rattles (all three baseball, of course) crib sheets, a bath tub, piggy bank, hangers, and other great things I can't remember off the top of my head! We were so blessed this Christmas to get a good start on getting Cohen's room together. The best part of Christmas this year was being able to be with our family. Here are a few pictures from all the fun!
Miss Isabella :)

Here we go again! The kids just love when Grammy gets out the Reddi Whip!
Lots of laughter and silliness
One of Ayden's stocking stuffers made a noise that Gracie just loved!
This was a ball full of sparkles and this eyeball...Ayden shook it up and said, "Did I win?!"

Steve and Momma :)
We stopped by Steve's Aunt Sarah's house. We love the energy and how much fun we have over there each year. We always look forward to lots of laughs and memories when we get together with this side of the family. Here's Steve's mom and our nieces during the gift exchange. :)
Steve and I know that things are about to change...A LOT. So, we decided to enjoy this last Christmas with just the two of us! One of our little married traditions is to open our gifts from each other at midnight after coming home from Aunt Sarah's on Christmas Eve night. We had so much fun this year. I thank God every day for my wonderful partner in life. :)
Our last midnight gift opening for a while :)
sorting out the gifts
Steve got some new kicks, jacket, gloves, and Bible.
He REALLY loved his footie PJs!
Hubs did a VERY good job this year.....

Gotta love a goofball like this!
We know one day we will have our Christmas with Peanut, but until then this ornament will top our tree in remembrance of our precious, perfect little angel.
24 Weeks (after a LOT of eating!)
The last little bit of this post before Cohen's update of growth is Steve putting together Cohen's high chair. He just couldn't wait. It was so sweet to see! We are so blessed to have him as the head of our family.:)
Baby's Growth and Development at 24 Weeks Pregnant
During your 24th week of pregnancy, your baby's face is almost completely formed, down to the tiny eyelashes.
- When you're 24 weeks pregnant, your baby is about 8 inches long, close to the length of a banana, and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds.
- Which way is up? Your baby probably knows — now that his inner ear, which controls balance, has finished developing. He might realize whether he is upside down or right side up inside your amniotic sac.
- Your baby probably is continuing to become more active.
- Your baby's movements show your doctor that your baby is in good health.
- His movements right now are important for stimulating muscle growth, keeping joints flexible, and strengthening bones.
- Right now, your baby probably is gaining about 6 ounces each week.
