Tomorrow is the 3D/4D ultrasound and we cannot wait! I'll post pics just as soon as I can!
I felt my first Braxton Hicks contraction...or at least I think that's what it was. My whole belly got so hard for about twenty seconds (if that) and then went back to normal. I text Emily right away and she thinks it was, too. Thankfully it didn't hurt, it just felt weird. Just another sign that we're getting closer to snuggling our Cohen!
Last night, Steve and I watched the movie "Happiest Baby on the Block." It came recommended by a few of our friends for calming Cohen when he gets here. One of the "5 S's" was swaddling, but since Cohen isn't here yet, I had to practice on someone. I'd say it was a successful attempt. What do you think?
We couldn't stop laughing. He said that the swaddling was actually really comfortable. Go figure. :)
Our friends, Doug and Courtney stopped by today and gave us a few gifts for Cohen. Two blankets that are so soft, a birth announcement frame, and little Gumdrop pacifiers for Cohen. Thank you guys so much. We love you!
(Chloe and Lexi are very interested in all this baby stuff coming into the house!)
Steve is very excited about this purchase for Cohen's room!
A night light for Cohey :)
We can't wait to put this vinyl sticker from Etsy over his crib!
Daddy couldn't resist....
One of my favorite things in the nursery.
A "Happy Birthday" onesie for Cohen's birthday from my team of teachers.
Finally found my nursing cover thanks to Kimber and Babysteals.com! Love it!
One of my favorite shirts for "the boat times" :)
Another fave...it makes me excited for Steve and Matty to take Cohen and Liam out camping together. I just can't wait until those two little boys come running into the house with dirt caked on their face and something they've found outside in their pockets. :D
A little something from Dad and Beth for the carseat. We love it! :)
How your baby's growing:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
